Contract: permanent, full-time (40h/week)

BBMRI-ERIC is a European research infrastructure for biobanking and biomolecular resources. We bring together all the main players from the biobanking field – researchers, biobankers, industry, and patients – to boost biomedical research. Key Responsibilities and Requirements

Candidates should have a keen interest in quality assurance and quality control aspects of biomedical research and biobanking. With a positive attitude and commitment, the candidate can fit into a European and international team of quality managers, biobankers and biomedical researchers and demonstrate leadership skills in EU projects to represent and work on quality-relevant interests of BBMRI-ERIC. Together with the BBMRI-ERIC Quality Team, the candidate will make an active contribution to all quality-related developments and activities.

The candidate responsible for the following tasks:

  • Development of QM System at BBMRI-ERIC Head office and on request at associated National Node coordination offices level
  • Development and maintenance of management documentation in compliance with the requirements of European and international standards relevant for BBMRI-ERIC community (http://www.bbmri-eric.eu/services/standardisation/)
  • Representation and participation in quality-related aspects in current and future EU projects (https://www.bbmri-eric.eu/eu-grants/)
  • Representation of the management in quality matters in meetings, workshops, webinars, conferences, trainings (https://www.bbmri-eric.eu/services/quality-management/)
  • Support quality issues with scientific competence


Background

  • Higher education, MSc or phD degree in science (e.g. medical sciences, biology, genetics, microbiology, chemistry or equivalent)
  • Certificates as Quality Management Representative / Quality Systems Manger or equivalent
  • Certificates as Auditor, internal Auditor or equivalent

 

Experience

  • Years of experience as Quality Manager in the field of science
  • Years of experience in EU-funded projects
  • Years of experience as auditor in the field of science
  • High accuracy and reliability
  • Advanced Project Management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent English skills, advanced German skills

Additional skills

  • Experience with Integrated Management Systems in organizations preferably in science/healthcare/biomedical research
  • Experience with implementing and certifying QMS in organizations preferably in science/healthcare/biomedical research
  • Readiness to travel

 

Employment Terms and Conditions

The succesful candidate will be directly employed by BBMRI-ERIC in its Central Executive Management Office in Graz, Austria. The employment is subject to the Austrian labour law.


What we offer

According to European/international standards for similar roles and responsibilities and requirements of this function, 45,000€ as minimum annual gross salary; final salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
